Top 5 Tuesday Eighty-Nine

Some of these names came up in a conversation with the Captain, so the topic was formed by consensus, and some of his answers will most likely spill over into mine. It's pretty straight forward; the actors listed either have A parts in B movies, or B parts in A movies, but are never the stars of massive hollywood fare. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) For the most part they've had lengthy careers, and in some cases have blurred the line between A and B with consistent, standout performances. Bio links have been provided to facilitate your "Oh, that guy!" moment.

  1. Bruce Campbell. The definitive #1 B guy. Fave role: Evil Dead II.
  2. J.T. Walsh. You know him every time you see him, but can't name two movies he's been in. Fave role: Breakdown.
  3. Danny Trejo. Need a badass? Call Danny. Fave Role: Desperado.
  4. Powers Boothe. Probably the closest thing to A list here (Sin City, HBO's Deadwood) but always slightly in the background. Fave Role: Tombstone.
  5. Parker Posey. Crowned as the Indie Movie Queen, she's always up for the quirky girl/bitch role, and always nails it. Fave Role: Best in Show.
