Ok, so the roman numerals were starting to bug me. I don't think they look good when you string them together that long. Wait until Super Bowl 88! Anyway, this week's topic should be good for some heated discussion/dissing of both bands and other people's picks, which is always fun. I'm sure Killer Dee and The Captain will go head to head for a while here.
Top 5 Most Hated Bands
- Gin Blossoms. Limp. Lame. Wimpy. Whiny. My most hated band of the 90's. I actually got angry every time they snagged some airtime. The only band in existence that physically lacked testicles. Seriously.
- Nickelback. This band should be on most lists, and rightfully so. Purveyors of canned corporate rock, these guys (ok, Chad) are so full of themselves that even if i liked them i'd hate them. Read one of my previous blog entries about Chad for some solid proof!
- Linkin Park. Why do we have to be so angry all the time? The whole rap/rock thing was done well by very few bands, this not being one of them. One guy rapping, one guy 'singing'. Why not just have one guy? I have one word to sum up this genre properly: RAGEAGAINSTTHEMACHINE.
- Dread Zeppelin. I was SO into Zeppelin in high school that i took these guys as the highest form of blasphemy. Now it's just kinda funny.
- Creed.
Dishonourable Mention - From Fiction. When this band came out on stage, the drummer paced in a confused circle at the front of the stage for about 3 minutes before they played a note. This is the first band that i would have actually left before they even started if they weren't to be followed by the mighty Wilco.
