As promised, and dedicated to the one and only killer dave, co-creator of the 'rockus for the cockus' anthology, which was inspired by metal vagina's original 'rockus' mix cd, here is part 2 of the ballads top 5. I know there are many more classics that i haven't touched on, but that's what you guys are here for, right?

P.S. the fact that Captain is calling us sad would explain his lack of "rocking out" ability...you just keep on playing the Jack fella, we all need to sleep sometime.

Posted by: scotty on June 16, 2005 10:23 AMand this is for those sitting at their systems in pink spandex. http://www.sleazeroxx.com/
Posted by: radkin on June 16, 2005 09:49 AMsick is right. now i have to put my picks up here, too.
1. When the Kids Ball - White Lion
2. Nobody's Fool - Cinderella
3. In a Darkened Room - Skids
4. Quicksand Jesus - Skids
** the skids' bass player has got some serious lyrics that were/are far deeper than any bands of its genre, even their metaphoric talk of back stage shinanigans with 40 foot do-s are packed with offensive wit
5. Carrie - Europe (this vote is purely for entertainment value and more vomit)
5. Love Song - Tesla
4. Fly to the Angels - Slaughter
3. Don't Pray For Me - Little Angels
2. In A Darkened Room - Skid Row
1. Let it Rain - Warrant
Man that is some serious CHEZ!! And I am inclined to agree with tha AssCaptain - we are sum seriously sick sonzabitches.
Peace, Love and May we all be spared upon reckoning - LOL!!
and we'll have killer throw in a pearl jam tune just for the cap'n.
Posted by: radkin on June 16, 2005 06:17 AM...oh you sick sons of bitches...
Posted by: Capt. on June 16, 2005 03:10 AMnext week's top 5 should be which songs killer should air guitar out to. as one of his 400 screaming fans, i suspect that was simply one of the funniest, most classic killer moments known to man. funny though, how i was not surprised in the least - especially him hockey shouldering the killer love seeking air violinist... common' killer, just one li'l smooch...
Posted by: radkin on June 15, 2005 05:42 PMAh, the white jean jacket....yes, it was a staple of the young finny's life at that time. I couldn't compete so i have to go with the jean jacket vest over the biker jacket...ooooh good times.
i am going with the more underated but still did the job.
1. Never say good-bye - Bon jovi
2. i won't forget you - Poison
3. Nobody's fool - Cinderella
4. bed of roses - Bon jovi
5. I saw red - Warrant
when and where did you wear a white jean jacket (why?)????
Posted by: batman + robin on June 14, 2005 06:44 PMBTW Scotty, how I actually entered the competition is what made the whole experience a classic "Killer" moment! Here's the setlist I rocked in front of 400 screaming fans:
1. Motley Crue: She's Got the Looks (I actually was pissed off at the guy attempting it, so I ran from the back of the bar, crashed the stage, kicked him off, and started rocking the air guitar)
2. Skid Row: Youth Gone Wild (I made sure the DJ didn't cut the song short before the hot solo and preceeded to get the whole bar clapping along w/the drum solo)
3. AC/DC: You Shook Me w/all on stage (I nearly kicked the shit out of some druck idiot on the stage, climbed up on the amps to rock a solo as the DJ was saying "Canadian guy, pls get off the speakers" in Hungarian of course, proceeded to do a back to back solo w/the hot chick that won)
All in all, a pretty normal night at the Wigwam!

Posted by: Killer on June 14, 2005 12:01 PMoh i know killer! also in a similar vein, congrats to killer's second placing in the central eastern european air guitar championship. only a non-set-of-tits cost him the title! (captain, please...)
Posted by: scotty on June 14, 2005 09:10 AMYou sick sons of bitches.
Posted by: Capt. on June 14, 2005 05:23 AM1. Poison: Every Rose Has It's Thorn
2. LA Guns: The Ballad of Jane
3. Skid Row: I remember You
4. Bon Jovi: I'll Be There for You
5. Steelheart: I'll Never Let You Go
Just so you know, Scotty and I could compose an epic Anthology here....all we need is the corner G-Roby, an internet connection, and copius Dreher! Rock On \m/
