Top 5 Tuesday XXIX

I'm back this week after missing last week by feeling like shite. As some of my posts of the past week or two have eluded to, i'm pretty stoked on some of the upcoming concerts for this summer, so guess what this week's listing is about?! Top 5 Upcoming Summer Concert Events! Big or small, known or unknown, amphitheatre or club, list your fave upcoming concerts here and perhaps shed a little light on some sweet upcoming shows for the rest of us.

Top 5 Upcoming Summer Concert Events

  1. Pearl Jam. I haven't seen the jam yet, and have been looking forward to catching a show since i got into them a little more intensely last year thanks to Killer Dave's extensive CD collection over in Budapest. Have snagged some tickets for the Toronto show as well as the 2nd Detroit show 2 days prior to Toronto. Woo Hoo!
  2. Ben Harper & Jack Johnson. Ben is amazing live, and i'm really pumped to see Jack live. He'll have a new album out by then as well, so new stuff all around for these guys. Tix were secured last Friday.
  3. DMB. Dave is coming to Toronto at the beginning of Sept., and tix are onsale way early, so local Dave fans take note - onsale this coming Saturday morning at 10am for the Amphitheatre show! Will be only my second DMB show.
  4. Phish. Rumours are floating around about when/where Phish will be touring this summer. I've seen a few rumour dates online that elude to both a Toronto show, and a big end-of-tour blowout weekend in Maine again. Would be good to once again catch the sweetness live!
  5. TBA. This is a "mystery" tour that i'd like to be involved in, and i'm just carrying on status quo until i catch some type of word here. More explanation to come when needed!

Update: Phish dates posted today; no Toronto show, but the big weekend in Maine is on.

Scott.... I Can't believe I'm missing out on the DMB onsale, I didn't think this New Zealand trip would make me miss out on Pearl Jam and DMB If you can snag an extra DMB ticket for me it would be much appreciated......... home soon, Brian

*Lollapalooza (hopefully) - 7/3 (or 7/18)
*Watershed concert (ZZ top, sweet shit - if I can still get tix) - 8/30!

my streak is going to be broken on this top 5 because I don't even know who is coming on tour this summer... except for Bruce Springsteen, but then again he could be 1 - 5 in my book. :)

Phish @ the Gorge. will be way better than the big mess in Maine, i guarantee it. get your ass to the west coast for this one.

you think pearl jam will still be good? i'd go if they didn't play such huge venues.
