Amy has subtly reminded me that it is indeed Tuesday with an "Ahem... it's Tuesday!" I thank you muchly, and your suggestions also led to my selection of this week's topic, in which you can ironically complete one of your suggested lists! Confused yet? Me too. What i'm trying to say is that Amy emailed me a couple of her suggested topics, including some sample answers for each. So what i put forth this week is this - make a topic and post your top 5 to that topic. Everyone's will be different and probably more personal than other weeks, or if you feel inspired by someone else's topic you can answer theirs - whatever you like! So what we will hopefully end with here is a collection of completely different top 5 lists compiled within one top 5 tuesday! If this still makes no sense i can't help you at this point. If it does then carry on! Here's mine...

My very own top 5 list? hmmmmmm...I've been thinking about this for a while.
Top 5 Favorite Recent Videos
5) Eminem - Sing for the Moment; a montage of live shows and studio shots.
4)Queens of the Stone Age - No One Knows; A deer goes on a reampage! Right on! And it's a great song.
3) White Stirpes - ??; I can't remember the name of the song, but they're sitting on a couch in the street and Meg is sleeping through out the whole video. It's a cool song and the video totally suits the music!
2)Queens of the Stone Age - Go with the Flow; This video is so unbalievable sexual. I'm surprised they were even able to air it on Much Music. I love the colour scheme. All in red, black and white. Deffinetly a video everyone should see.
1)The Salads - Get Loose; I love it! I love the ska suits in the beginning and the end, and the psycadelic colours. They did a most excellent job on this video!! Plus it is sooooo good to see a band that has soooooooo much talent finally being recognized for it! Congrats to the Salads!!!!
There are many many more videos that I have seen recently, that I'm very impressed with. MUCH has become one of my new favorite TV stations. My TV is generally tuned to MUCH. "MUCH MUSIC and MTV are 24 hour commercials for music!" Chris Cornell
Hmm. I thought I had posted already (I was the first, in fact). I guess I hadn't hit the button.
Ok. I posted Top 5 Responses To Telemarketers on http://www.iampariah.com/blog/posts/00000075.html.

Top 5 cool Musicians Al has met:
#5) Dee Snider. Two words: "Twisted Fuckin' Sister". Dee is a cool guy and remarkably well spoken. A highlight from my old TV show days.
#4) Jag Tanna (I Mother Earth). Not only a crazy good guitar player but also very funny. The only guy I have ever talked into acting like Bill S. Preston or Ted Theodore Logan onstage who actually did it.
#3) Ziggy Marley. Rita Marley was there too chilling out on the tour bus. Really any Marley is cool in my books, but the highlight was talking about the bands need for "togetherness" before shows to "ahem" spend time together. Insert Bong sucking noise here.
#2) Todd Kerns Ex Age of Electric, Static in Stereo Possible frontman for Slash's new GNR.
Cool guy and he let me drink most of the rider and he let us onstage at Edgefest in Ottawa way back in '97.
#1) Gord Sinclair. Tragically Hip. I hijacked Gord while we were both hammered at the same restaurant in Kingston. Sidled up at the bar and had the Best one hour talk about music in my life.
Honourable mentions: Ron Sexsmith, Gordie Johnson, Sean Verrault and for that matter all of Wide Mouth Mason, Bootsy Collins (asked to borrow my belt backstage to keep the diaper up..), Cypress Hill minus B-Real (DJ Don Ho "Hey man don't step on the Grass" Al - You mean the garbage bag?" and on and on and on.
Man am I smug. Sorry.
you go girl! amy is in with a fantastic use of the word "outstanding". i have also discovered new fun answering other people's lists over on their blog - the madness is exponential!

here is mine: Top 5 Albums Almost Everyone You Know Owns
Squeeze: Greatest Hits
Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
REM: Murmur
U2: The Joshua Tree
New Order: Substance
Honorable Mentions: Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, Bruce Springsteen: Born in the USA, Fleetwood Mac: Rumors, Enya: Watermark, The Cars: The Cars, Nirvana: Smells Like Teen Spirit (I don't own this, but everyone else seems to)
Also.. the first time I heard of John Mayer's song "You Body is a Wonderland" was in a review where the reviewer said the song was better in it's original form: Crash by DMB. Everytime I hear John Mayer that is what I think of. Has no relevance to this post, but I find it so amusing, I thought I'd share.
