So i was online at the crack of 10 this morning trying to score some PJ tickets for the Toronto show in June. I knew they wouldn't stick around long but still had hopes of half decent seats. I'm working the refresh button at a feverish pace until the sale comes online, and then i'm off.
10am-10:07am - Ticketmaster servers are too busy; not even getting a request through.
10:08am - 3 lawn seats show up as available - back in the lawns already within 8 minutes - shit! I decline the lawns and jump back into it, hoping for better.
10:18am - Nothing has shown up since the lawns; am kicking self as show is probably sold out.
10:19am - A single 400 level seat shows up - i take it.
10:20am - A single 300 level seat shows up - i take it.
So i have 2 seats, however separated, to see Pearl Jam in June and i'm pretty stoked, since i have yet to see them live. The way i figure it is that whoever ends up going with me (and will obviously have the 400 as i will have the 300 :) won't care since there's always the trip up, the parking lot scene and the after drive and/or scene in which to share in. And at the end of the day, you're at the show so who cares who you're standing beside when you are rocking out. My buddy Steve scored 4 in a row in the 400s, which is also cool. Now to keep an eye out for the DMB onsale for the September show!
Posted by scotty at March 08, 2003 03:57 PMi was an average fan until i dove into my buddy dave's huge collection of live PJ from all the tour 2000 cd releases. they simply rock live. they still jam, which not enough bands still do, and matt cameron hauls ass on the drums. that about sums it up for me.
