I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the search engine i use about 95% of the time is Google. I came across some cool extras that Google offers as both informational and fun. The first, Google Zeitgeist, lists the top increasing and declining searches for several different categories, as well as useful overall user stats such as browsers, operating systems and languages used to access Google - great stuff to keep an eye on when you are designing sites. The second one is a fun little app called Googlefight. You can basically enter 2 opposing search phrases and see which one has been searched out more often, and by how much. The fight of the month has Hell topping Paradise by about 2:1. Go figure that one. The fight i waged was a battle of the old school Seattle bands with new albums out, and Nirvana took down Pearl Jam by about 270,000 searches. Try it out; impress your friends with useless stats!
