Top 5 Tuesday VII - Have you seen the bridge?

Some people i know haven't seen Titanic, or The Phantom Menace, or even Rocky Horror for that matter! This week's category springs from the phenomenon of just never getting to see that movie. Whether you keep seeing the preview for it on another rental, or walk by it a hundred times in the video store, or say you'll get it for sure next time, or the person you're renting it with won't tolerate another viewing, or if it's just a huge movie that you never ended up seeing, this week's listing salutes those movies: Top 5 Movies You've Always Meant to See Yet Haven't. So let's get to it; movies big or small, new or old, foreign or domestic - anything goes as long as you've been meaning to see it for some time.

Top 5 Movies You've Always Meant to See Yet Haven't

  1. Best In Show
Christopher Guest is a subtle comic genius, dating back to Spinal Tap up through Waiting for Guffman. I've been meaning to see this for some time, and even have it written down to do so, yet...

  2. Hard Core Logo
A Canadian film starring Hugh Dillon from the Headstones as the singer of a crazy ficticious rock band on the road, this is apparently a great rock n' roll ride i have yet to take.

  3. The Truman Show
I dig Jim Carrey's over the top comedy, but have not seen his first acclaimed "dramatic" role.

  4. Before Sunrise
I've had a couple of apparent "Before Sunrise" experiences, according to the other people involved. I guess i should eventually find out what the hell they were talking about.

  5. The Matrix
I have yet to see The Matrix. This is my "big one".

i have seen all the movies i want to see. for example, my ex-boyfriend could not FREAKING believe i hadn't seen "the mummy," "the jerk," and "young frankenstein." then he forced me to watch them. ugggh. seriously, if i wanted to see a movie, i'd see it. i've never seen (screw the quotes) casablanca, gone with the wind, citizen kane, pretty much any movie made before i was born (except willie wonka and the wizard of oz) and i LIKE it that way.

someone did tell me to see harold and maude. i might see that one day. the only 2 movies i haven't seen that i want to see are the two towers and hp and the chamber of secrets :-)

Well...

Being unemployed and under herbal influence a good chunk of my days, and having High Speed Internet, I've seen everything. I mean it, everything. In the hazy stupor that is my life I made a conscious decision to see all those movies that are rated poorly etc. SO The best I can do is the top 5 movies I am most embarrassed to have seen in the last month:

#5) Corky Romano. Bad movie. Interesting fact: Chris Penn plays a closeted gay mobster.

#4) The 6th Day. Arnold Schwarzennegger deserves nothing short of death. Abyssmal movie.

#3) American Pyscho II. BAD BAD MOVIE. The annoying girl from that 70's show stars with William Shatner. BAD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FLICK.

#2) Crossroads. Britney doing a striptease 10 minutes in is pretty good. Then the movie sucks...hard.

#1) Glitter. Yep I watched it. All of it. Mesmerizing in its crapulence.

Special thanks to KAZAA for helping me find this trash for free...

Ok top 5 movies I want to see but haven't...hmmmmmm!
There are quite a few movies out there.
1. Spiderman - Everybody went to see it with out me.
2. One Hour Photo - Hasn't been out very long yet, but I was hoping to see it before I moved to Whistler. The movie theatre only has 1 movie playing at a time. It is currently Star Wars - Episode 2. They are way behind here.
3. Death to Smoochy - Really wanted to see that in the theatre, but missed it. Now it's on video and I don't have a VCR.
4. 40 Days and 40 Nights - yeah it seems stupid, but I really like Josh Hartnett.
5. Run Lola Run - I've heard a lot of good things about this movie. Just haven't been able to catch it yet.
That is it. Scott deffinetly check out Best In Show. It is hillarious!!
Skip the Matrix, a waste of time and money.
Congrats on the new/old job by the way. Now you can save up and come and visit me.

i keep meaning to rent "how to kill your neighbor's dog" because i heard it was funny, and never do. i've seen 1, 3, and 5, and they're all worth the rent. the Matrix, however, is cool - is just not as cool as *some* people say it is.

I thought Best in Show was pretty good. It's one of those sarcastic comedies, I loved it.
