...Survivor 5 is underway! I was pretty stoked about this version of Survivor since i missed the last 2 when i was over in Budapest. Some new twists off the top added a nice touch - selecting of the tribes was cool and we ended up with the young guns on one side and the golden oldies on the other. First instincts tell me that the young tribe, Sook Jai, although having their share of hotheads and idiots (they paddled their boat to the island backwards!), have the initial advantage. The older tribe, Chuay Gahn, were all family-like off the top, but threw me for a loop at the end by forming a mini anti-John voting alliance instead of dumping the useless Ghandia.
Prediction for next week: That will come back to haunt them, and Chuay Gahn will be back at tribal council next week to give Ghandia the boot.
What did you think of the first episode and who will go next week?
Posted by scotty at September 20, 2002 01:36 AMback up a bit....you were in Budapest? You must tell me about that some day. Ahh, people that travel, my favorite types.
Posted by: eris on September 25, 2002 09:07 PMHey all! No one is a bigger survivor loser than me, and I have no predictions yet. I don't know if you guys are right about skater boy though. If they keep winning challenges... maybe he will have the time to realize what a dick he is, or maybe someone else will piss the tribe off more? $10 says he's one of the parties involved in the fight.
I thought the first episode was pretty good, the race was awesome, very relative to their location & with a little more thought involved than in previous survivor series, I hope they keep it up.
Episode 2 @ my place? Remember it's on time delay though, I work until 9pm. Get back to me if your into it.
I agree with skinny pete, skater boy is GONE. He still there because Gandiah can't do puzzles. I was surprised with the preacher being voted off, was not expecting that. I do not have a prediction for next week, to early for that but I can;t wait for the "fight" in week 3... god i am a Survivor loser!!!!!

I agree the selection of the tribe...pretty cool. I disagree though, John had to go, he thought there was an alliance..no they just didn't like you Johnny boy, just because you preach the bible does not make you a likable person automatically...see ya!
Trouble is a brewing at the young guns camp....too many hot heads, guys cannot hang out and be buddies without pitchers of beer man!...
next to go...Bartender skater dude...unfortunatley!
