To borrow a quote from Dumb and Dumber - "Seniors, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose" - and that purpose is to scam us into thinking they are helpless! I was waiting in line with my buddy Wilby at the Tim Hortons to grab a coffee before a movie (saw Blue Crush - better than it looks in previews - great surfing footage!) and the server says "next", and we go to step up when 2 grandmas blindside us and are placing their order before we could open our mouths! Fair enough - no worries - carry on old ladies. So i go grab a table as Wilby is finishing with our order, and the grandmas are seated beside me. Then one grandma grabs some garbage that was left on their table, gets up, walks over to where i'm sitting and dumps it onto our table! So i'm scratching my head, Wilby sits down with the coffees and double chocolate timbits, and i relay the story to him. So Wilby doing what he does, pipes up to the grandmas and says "excuse me, did you just put your garbage on our table while my friend was actually sitting here?" And she goes "Yes, well, it's not my garbage!" She's hassling us over garbaging OUR table!

So keep your eye on the helpless looking seniors as they brush by you on their way to the counter, washroom, door, etc. - they may be heading for your wallet!
