So i was at my sister's stag and doe last night up in Waterloo. Had a good time with some "liberal" pouring of the rye and gingers. I guess it pays to be in the wedding party. Tried my damndest to win the putter at the buck-a-putt game, but to no avail. I was entered in the draw 4 times, as i went 4 for 9 on the putting range. My dad was there for what seemed like all night, and ended up going an embarrassing 2 for 16! Needless to say he was spotted at the practice range early this morning working on his short game. I did snag a Wilson golf hat and towel though as second prize, so i didn't leave empty handed, just empty walleted. All the best to my sister and Chris, my future and only brother-in-law.
Things noted on the drive home today: Saw a van that said "Hangover Holidays" on the side. Upon closer inspection it actually said "Hanover Holidays". My vision must have been slightly blurred from my hangover. Also noted that i know less than half the words to many of my favourite songs on my mix tapes, as i was trying to sing along. In my defense, i could probably drum through every one of those songs blindfolded and drunk. :)

alas 1974 is sweeet.
Story:
Alanis and Ryan both born in '74.
Both broke limbs early in adolescence.
Both are "singer-songwriter" types
Each wrote a couple of verses about themselves mentioning the tie-ins.
Each wrote a verse about the other.
Cool huh?

thanks for the drinking stories and hangover sympathies. sweet al - grabbed a live copy of that song - can't hear all of the lyrics - is there a studio version as well?
Posted by: scotty on August 26, 2002 10:53 AMI cut off at my friend's wedding for ordering a crodka & vanberry. Of course that pails in comparision to another friends wedding where I threw up in the bathroom during the reception*, cleaned myself up, thought I was looking good... only to return to the reception and have the bride say: is that puke in your hair? damn!
* I'd like to note that her father in law is an executive at Seagrams and there was alot of high quality alcohol there...
Posted by: amy on August 26, 2002 10:10 AMwell,
well hungover, well hungary, and all these wonderful, differnt countries that need to be visited.
have been away with hangover holidays a number of times and can say it's always a trip there, but if there isn't a tim horton's upon arrival...well, let's not even begin to contemplate.
yeah, the best to lara and her soon to be husband, and all the best to your next mini put tourney. 2nd prize is definitely better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

New song Obsession
"1974" by Ryan Adams & Alanis Morrisette.
Sounds kooky but it's crazy & I don't really hate Alanis like I used to... Anyway I'll give you the full story on the song if you can find it...
